UPCOMING
On the horizon

Neuroscience of Burnout: Workshop for Founders
NIP brings practical neuroscience to Frankfurt’s startup community with a workshop for founders hosted at Kompass Frankfurt Gründerwerkstatt. The session explores what happens in the brain under prolonged stress, why founders can be particularly vulnerable to burnout, and how early warning signs can be recognised before performance and wellbeing begin to decline. Through practical exercises and neuroscience-informed tools, founders will learn how to better understand their own stress patterns, manage cognitive load and build sustainable strategies for resilience, recovery and long-term performance.

Neurocenter Finland Annual Event 2026
NIP joins the Neurocenter Finland Annual Event 2026 — “Five Years of Progress: Building the Future of Brain Health Together.” The annual event brings together Finland’s brain and neuroscience ecosystem, creating an important space for exchange across research, healthcare, innovation and industry. For NIP, it is an opportunity to reconnect with the Finnish neuroscience community, follow emerging developments in brain health, and explore new connections between scientific research, innovation and practical applications of neuroscience in everyday and working life.

The Resilience Edge: Neuroscience, Performance & Innovation Under Pressure
What happens to performance, decision-making and innovation when teams operate under constant pressure? Join The Resilience Edge for a practical, science-informed conversation on building teams that can perform without burning out. Hear from leading neuroscience and performance voices, alongside real founder experience, and leave with practical approaches you can bring back to your team. Designed for team leaders, founders, HR and People professionals, and investors who want to turn resilience from a wellbeing conversation into a performance advantage.
PAST EVENTS
Our journey so far

Mental Health & Wellbeing Conference — Oxford 2026
NIP joined more than 4,000 participants from around the world at one of the largest events dedicated to mental health and wellbeing in Oxford. The event brought together practitioners, researchers, clinicians and organisations to explore the latest developments in trauma, neuroscience, mental health and wellbeing. For NIP, it was an opportunity to connect with the international community, exchange perspectives across disciplines, and explore how emerging research can be translated into practical approaches for healthier, more resilient workplaces and communities.

Brain Health at Work — World Brain Day 2026
As part of World Brain Day 2026, NIP joined Brain Health at Work, organised by the Brain Health Mission and the European Academy of Neurology. Through interactive breakout discussions, we exchanged perspectives with researchers, neurologists, and participants from healthcare, patient advocacy, research, and industry on how workplaces can better protect, support, and strengthen brain health throughout working life. The organisers have since published an event report capturing the key themes, recommendations, and insights from the discussions — a valuable resource for organisations looking to put brain health higher on the workplace agenda.

Social Hackathon Umbria 2026
StressAid was one of only eight ideas selected from 1,072 applications for Social Hackathon Umbria 2026. By the end of the event, we were demonstrating a bilingual live beta with a real backend, teacher authentication, aggregate-only data handling, privacy controls, threshold-protected results, and a production deployment that people could actually test. The project later received a Special Award from the Social Jury, and its potential to scale beyond the hackathon and across different countries was highlighted by SHU founder Altheo Valentini.

Stress Management Workshop
We hosted a practical session on the neuroscience of stress and performance to share real, actionable insights: understanding what stress does to your brain, a short self-assessment using the Performance State Compass™, and practical tools to help participants stay sharp under pressure.

Erasmus+ PBA
Center for Neuro-Innovation and Performance was sponsored to join the PBA, and as part of the best practices exchange, we facilitated a workshop for trainers to demonstrate how practical neuroscience can be used in youth work.

Goals Setting Workshop — XES Helsinki Startup Community
Invited to host a workshop for Haaga-Helia students exploring why the brain resists big changes and how deliberate actions reshape self-belief.

ISFF — Effective Goal Setting Through Neuroscience
Workshop on Effective Goal Setting Through Neuroscience, organised for the international startup founder community in Finland with the support of Business Helsinki.

Youth@Works Partnership Forum
Digital Competences Forum in Türkiye — organised by the Erasmus+ National Agency of Türkiye and joined by nearly 100 delegates from across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa. For the first time, we presented the concept of developing cognitive skills and performance through neuroscience-based practices.
